Liza B. Krassner

Director & Executive Producer

Krassner is a first generation Filipino who moved to California as a young teen. She is an administrator at the University of California at Irvine with interests in public health education and the arts - especially jazz and tango. Krassner serves in various parent advisory committees on autism. She is also an independent producer of small films aimed at educating and raising autism awareness through arts and education, and in promoting the workforce development of persons with autism and other developmental disabilities. Her film credits include Hula is My Language (2014), Through the Heart of Tango (2013), Hire Me (2013) and ASD on Families: A parent interview (2009). She presently resides in Southern California with her husband and two sons, one with autism.

Milena Urbanova

Director of the Auticenter

Urbanova is from the Czech Republic and works a lawyer at the Regional Police Directorate of the South Bohemian Region. She is also the Director of the Auticenter which she founded in 2010 when she could not find any services available for families that live with autism. As a passionalte advocate for families with special needs, she admits that "being a lawyer was helpful to start the Auticenter, but it was not an easy job". She loves sports, particularly tennis, skiing, and snowboarding which helps her deal with life's stresses. She presently lives in Ceske Budejovice with her family, including her son with autism.

Professor, University of South Bohemia

Zurovec is from the Czech Republic and is the head researcher in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics in the Academy of Sciences (Biology Center), and professor at the University of South Bohemia. His reserach interests include developmental biology and genetics. Outside the lab, Zurovec is an avid naturalist whose personal interests include travel and photography. He presently lives in Ceske Budejovice with his wife and daughter. This is his first documentary project.
